Is it allowed to take External Radiotherapy during lactation? |
|
Emission of radiation by Teleradiotherapy devices (Cobalt Unit, Lineal Acelerator …) does not harm the mother’s milk nor have adverse side effect on nursing. It does not accumulate in the mother’s body after treatment procedure is over. After an out-patient treatment with Radiotherapy nursing can be safely resumed. |
