I was first introduced to this drug in an ambulance on the way to the hospital due to supraventricular tachycardia. First dose was given 6mgs IV. Was hardly effective at all. Shortly was administered 12mg which lasted until we were leaving the counter of the ER for a exam room. Heart rate again surged to rapid. Nurses administered another dose, which lasted only a minimal amount of time. A physician came in and changed the med to something else which worked, but was a little slow at bringing down my heart rate.

30 to 45 mins. after eating 2-3 "grands" biscuits I started feeling the super rapid heartbeat an d told my wife we waited about 30 more before calling 911. They gave me 6 mgs then an other 12 mgs before I got the relief they expected to see. It was a direct reaction to MSG which we NOW screen ALL "prepared foods" very closely.
